About Us

Nebraska Border Collie Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 Charitable Organization. NBCR provides rescue, rehabilitation, foster and placement to Border Collies and Border Collie mixes in and around Nebraska.

Since 1999, Nebraska Border Collie Rescue Inc. has been an entirely volunteer run organization.  We are a small group of volunteers who rescue, foster, and adopt border collies.  We provide transport, socialization, and rehabilitation for dogs as well as life saving veterinary care.

We strive to place dogs in forever homes, making the best possible match between dog and adopter to reduce the need for rescue in the future.  Our adoption process includes  an application, reference checks, & home visits.

We believe all of these dogs deserve a second chance. If you would like to help but can’t adopt at this time there are many ways to help our rescue efforts.

If you aren’t ready to adopt, you can become a foster home and provide love and shelter for a dog in need.  Click here to complete a foster application.

If you cannot foster, you can volunteer to raise awareness about border collies in need of rescue.  We need volunteers who can make phone calls as part of reference checks, educate the public about border collies at events, ask business for donations as part of our annual fundraiser, and MORE.  There are many volunteer opportunities and everyone makes a big difference in the lives of these dogs.  Click here to complete a volunteer application.

If you can’t volunteer you can support NBCR through donations.

If you can’t donate there are still many ways you can help.  Click here to learn more about helping NBCR.
